Strawberry Cobbler Substitution Options

Strawberries: Fresh strawberries work best for this recipe, but frozen could be used as a substitute. If using frozen strawberries first thaw strawberries before making the filling.

Sugar: If wanting to lower sugar content a substitute sweetener can be used. Use one that has a 1:1 ratio for substituting sugar such as Monk Fruit and Erythritol.

Brown Sugar: Regular sugar or a substitute sweetener can be used instead of brown sugar on top of the cobbler.

Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice works best, but you can use bottled if needed. Lemon juice could also be used if lime is not available.

Flour: Any all-purpose flour can be used including a gluten-free substitute.

Buttermilk: If buttermilk is not available, heavy cream can be used in its place.
